Alphabet Cards: Great deck for beginners! You will, for example, will learn the basic sounds of Egyptian.
Phonetics Cards: In this deck, you can study all the known sounds of the Egyptian language
Egyptian Gods by Name. Some Deities have their own special hieroglyph. Other Gods have a few glyphs in their name, spelling it out phonetically.
Egyptian Gods by Image. Some Deities had many forms through the ages. However, to make it simple, this deck has the image most often associated with the particular God.
Determinatives. The Egyptian language has many homonyms! Therefore, Egyptian uses some (Determinative) glyphs at the end of a word to determine its intended meaning.
Logograms. In Ancient Egyptian there are over 7,000 hieroglyphs. However, only about 1,000 glyphs were commonly used. Some glyphs are used as shorthand for an entire word. Glyphs which represent whole words are called logograms.
Offering Formula is a very common inscription which is easy to recognize. These cards help you recognize and translate the components of these prayers for the dear departed. The example below is how the formula starts, “The King offers a Gift to:”
Pharaohs are divided by historians into 30 (mostly) sequential Dynasties. With this deck you will learn who belongs where.
Cartouches. Pharaohs had up to five names in their Official title. This deck presents the three most commonly used names in Kingly inscriptions. Recognize them and learn who commissioned the inscription.
